From ushers to security, box office to retail, our team is as diverse and unique as our arena itself. PART TIME POSITIONS

Scottrade Center offers a number of part-time event related positions such as box office, retail, ushers and security. For a commitment of only one or two days a week you can be an integral part of the action of the variety of events that take place at Scottrade Center. Our part-time positions offer great pay and flexible schedules for service oriented individuals.

Thank you for your interest in working at the Scottrade Center. We will begin recruiting for part time positions in late July and interviews will begin in mid August. Retail Service Host
Summary:

Sports fans and concert fans often want a souvenir to help remember their special night long after it is gone. Our Retail staff is a close working team that connects each Guest with his/her desired jersey, t-shirt, program or other item to make those memories. Please note that these are part-time, event related union positions (other than supervisors).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Retail Service Hosts work in a variety of locations throughout the building from the team store, special kiosks or even as a roving vendor. Regardless of location the mission is the same: make every Guest feel special and help them purchase that one of a kind souvenir. Retail Hosts politely greet each Guest and offer suggestions on products and apparel available for purchase. The Host rings each Guest out quickly while properly entering inventory and monies received. Lastly, he/she must thank each Guest with a smile, and do all this while making each transaction very quick.

Qualifications:

  • Desired candidates are friendly, polite, fast working and detail oriented team player.
  • Must be willing work in a close, fast-paced environment
  • Communicate respectfully and politely to Guests and other members of the team.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately make change and operate a register.
  • Register or computer experience required. 
  • Must be able to stand during an entire event in a cold arena. 
  • Be able lift/carry 50 pounds during a shift. 
  • Must be available to work afternoon, evenings, nights and weekends as required by schedule
  • Must be available to work 75% of the events

 

Concierge
Summary:

Ensure that guests on Scottrade Center premium levels receive highest quality of guest service during events by performing the following duties. Please note that these are part-time, event positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve at variety of assigned posts, including club ticket will call, concierge desk, runner or roamer.
  • Greet suite and club seat guests at each event and direct to suites or seats as needed; learn names of repeat guests and address personally and professionally.
  • Control access to private levels of building by checking tickets and/or passes.
  • Run any necessary errands on suite levels, including delivering tickets, placing programs or promotional items in suites and other duties as directed.
  • Coordinate special services as requested during events by suite holders, including securing limousines or taxis, sending or receiving faxes or other packages and other services as requested.
  • Provide general assistance to suite holders and club seat holders during events to ensure highest possible level of service.
  • Report any necessary cleaning or repairs in suites or suite levels to Guest Services Manager on duty.
  • Maintain Scottrade Center Guest Service, Team Member and Appearance standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong oral and listening communication skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, recognize problems and find solutions. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift/carry no more than 25 pounds at a time.

 

Guest Services Host
Summary:

If you know what world-class service is and think you have right skills, knowledge and abilities to improve the experience of each person you come into contact with then the Guest Service Department may be for you. Please note that these are part-time, event related, union positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Politely greet, escort and/or direct guests to correct seat. 
  • Scan, tear  and count tickets at the turnstiles and keep lines moving in an orderly manner. 
  • Provide information, assistance and give directions to guests. 
  • Resolve basic seat discrepancies, relocations and disabled guest requests. 
  • Monitor section for rule compliance, (i.e. smoking, drug use and unruly behavior).  Visually monitors for contraband and informs guests of their options. 
  • Picks up large trash in aisles and maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds or push Guests in a wheelchair. 
  • Ability to stand during an entire event in a cold arena
  • Ability and willing to handle tough, high-pressure situations while remaining calm and professiona
  • Must be available to work 70% of events in the building

 

Guest Services Security
Summary:

If you know what world-class service is and think you have right skills, knowledge and abilities to improve the experience of each person you come into contact with then the Guest Service Department may be for you. Please note that these are part-time, event related, union positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Our trained and professional Guest Security staff is responsible for making sure each and every Guest who enters the facility is safe and can enjoy the entertainment offered without incident. Our security staff must be focused on the details of the event, know our building and safety rules, and be actively looking for Guests who may need assistance. Guest Security handles crowd management and quickly responds and politely resolves seating discrepancies clears aisles and settles disputes in a discreet manner so other Guests are not disturbed.

Qualifications:

The right candidate is outgoing, polite, friendly, and detail oriented. He/She is willing and able to actively engage people in tough, high-pressure situations while remaining calm and professional. Previous customer service experience is required. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain an unarmed security license from St. Louis City/County. Please note this license requires an FBI background check and two-day class. You must be able to stand during an entire event in a cold arena. Sometimes Guest Security are required to set up/take down chairs (must be able to life/carry up to 25 pounds) or push Guests in a wheelchair. Guest Security usually work evenings and weekends and must be available to work 70% of the events in the building.

 

50-50 Seller
Summary:

The Blues will conduct an in-game fundraising effort that will provide participating fans with the opportunity to win money at Blues home games while also raising money for the St. Louis Blues 14 Fund, the team's charitable trust.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handling large amounts of cash throughout an average shift of 4 hours
  • Selling 50/50 raffle tickets
  • Ensuring guests meet the age requirement for purchase of tickets.

Qualifications:

  • An assertive personality
  • Public speaking skills
  • Experience handling cash
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Candidates must be available to work beginning at 5:45 p.m. for most home games.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and handle tickets and cash for an average four hour shift.
